RJ “Bobs” Matthis, ZCE:
RJ Matthis is first and foremost a family man. He is a Husband, Father, & I.T. Professional.

The first computer he ever owned was a Commodore 64 and he has been hooked on computers and technology ever since. His I.T. troubleshooting experience and expertise started out by having to correct his own errors and glitches. For the first few years he would end up breaking or crashing something on one of his computers so he took it upon himself to learn what happened and why. After not much time he ended up becoming “that kid down the street that could fix this”. Eventually he was learning so much about computers related to his and others that it fed him into his career. Today he works full-time for an organization where he gets to do that everyday for 50+ users.

When he is not working his full-time job, he is home trying to be the best Husband and Father possible. He also owns and operates his own company called ReformatThis - A Web Programming Company that specializes in custom web applications. RJ puts the Matthis in ReformatThis.

RJ Matthis has a long standing grasp on technology and has seen many changes in his time. Commodore 64, 286, 386, birth of Pentium, & now finally Duo Cored PCs. He likes to describe himself as an “I.T. Handy Man” because all of his technical experience over many years has led him to dabble a lot in everything. Giving him vast knowledge of many fields including but not limited to: hardware, software, web design, & programming.

He is very passionate about the PHP movement. So much so that he tries to help wherever he can to push it forward. He joined the official PHP Documentation team and helps out by maintaining user notes in the documentation. With this passion also came the necessity of being a certified PHP professional, so RJ is also a Zend Certified Engineer [ZCE].

His favorite moments in life happen almost everyday as it involves being home with his family. He lives to hang out with his Wife, play with his Daughter while catching an episode of SpongeBob or two.
